A red stagecoach on leather thoroughbraces with a yellow gear, and wheels with rubber tires. There are two doors, one on either side of the vehicle body. Four of the windows have black leather coverings that can be rolled up or let down; there are also brown leather covers under the driver's seat and on the back that form compartments, and a luggage rack is on top. An advertisement for the Remuda Ranch is written on each door. This stagecoach has a seating capacity for ten people, plus the driver, and was pulled by four to six horses.
Stagecoaches are a staple in Western movies, and for good reason! They aren't just part of a good show, they were important avenues of transportation, especially in Western Canada and the United States. This stagecoach was restored by Don Remington, who added just a touch of his own flair. Advertisements like those on the doors weren’t uncommon, but what makes these advertisements special is that they were for his own ranch!
