A hearse with interior draped windows on both sides of the vehicle body. There are raised decorative forms in the shapes of pillars and drapery on the side panels, back doors and behind the seat. This vehicle has fifth-wheel steering, mounted on which are two oil cups that efficiently distribute oil into the fifth wheel mechanism. The driver's seat accommodates two people and the vehicle was pulled by two horses.
This vehicle is painted black, which was common for hearses in the horse-drawn era, however, hearses used for children’s funerals were often white in colour and shorter in length. The carved decorations on the panels were often seen on this kind of vehicle. Other adornments, such as plumes and flowers, could also be used.
