Description
A blue barouche with a folding hood top, rubber tires, and vis-à-vis style seating. The doors on either side have Don Remington’s initials (“DCR”) and hide steps that fold up into the interior when not in use.  This vehicle has a raised driver’s seat and can carry four passengers, a coachman, and two grooms. The grooms stand on a pair of steps mounted to the back axle. The suspension is a combination of C-springs and leather thoroughbraces.
More Information
This canoe-bottom barouche was a favourite of Don Remington’s, who declared that it was the most comfortable ride of any vehicle he owned. As such it has carried many dignitaries over the years, including the Premier of Alberta, both the Prime Minister and Governor General of Canada, King Charles and his brother Prince Andrew in 1978, and Queen Elizabeth II in 1990.
